WINTER PARK, Fla., December 30, 2016—Human resources outsourcing company Anthros Inc. has named one of the nation’s top litigation attorneys, John Houghtaling, to its Board of Directors.
Houghtaling is the managing partner of legendary Louisiana law firm Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams. He rose to national prominence in the wake of Hurricane Katrina by winning more than $30 million in settlements for hurricane victims and building owners, and has since collected over $100 million for individual clients.
“John’s legal expertise and his experience as a successful entrepreneur are unmatched,” said Anthros Inc.’s founder and CEO Anurag Dandiya. “I’ve always admired how his values and passions have shaped his work as both an attorney and entrepreneur. He has long been a dear friend and business advisor to me and my team, and I know he will bring a fresh voice to our Board of Directors.”
Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams is a longtime client of Anthros Inc. “Anurag and his team helped me streamline a business with a forty year history,” said Houghtaling. “With their exhaustive knowledge of human resources, payroll and compliance, we were able to cut costs and improve profitability.”
In addition to his career as an attorney, Houghtaling has launched many successful business ventures, including Ocean Therapy Solutions, a company known for its innovative oil spill cleanup technology that he founded with actor Kevin Costner. Houghtaling has also been recognized for his work as a community leader and philanthropist, and has personally raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local and national charities.
Houghtaling joins Anil Deshpande, Chris Fountas and Jerome Bocuse on the Anthros Inc. Board of Directors.
“We have an extraordinary leadership foundation in place,” said Dandiya. “Our board members are incredibly diverse in their experience and expertise, and together they have worked to define a vision for Anthros that truly sets us apart in the human resources industry.”
